Things to be prepared for:

Bring a hair brush!  Also, to keep children happy, I recommend brining snacks or anything you think can help them if they get tired.  Pick a time which you know your children will not need a nap or eat, be prepared so you can get the best out of the shoot.

How to dress:

See my Tips Here

I recommend dressing in earth tones like browns, blacks or tans.  Also, matching with the same color.  You may notice a really nice family photo has the family dress in the same tones and long sleeves showing less skin.  The reason is that when you look at the photo, no one person stands out too much.  Of course there is exceptions to this rule, especially for little girls in dresses.
